Yes, all this can be made possible through a day of surfing. This isn’t your ordinary surf session, this is a private surf session at the world-famous Surf Ranch on Friday, June 21st.
Thanks to Kelly Slater Wave Co, the Surf Ranch will be opening its doors for the first ever SurfAid Cup to be held in a wave pool. In partnership with World Surf League (WSL) and Firewire Surfboards, this surf for SurfAid charity day gives you the chance to turn your day of surfing into a day of saving lives. 100% of event proceeds will support SurfAid’s global Mother and Child Health Program’s.
We’ve all seen the perfection, but here’s your chance to be a part of the perfection.
There are only 5 spots left – registration is based on a first come, first serve basis.
As part of their event support, Firewire Surfboards and Rob Machado have donated a signed, Moonbeam designed by the master himself.  Rob designed this LFT shaper while thinking of small, and weak waves, “The kind of waves I ride a lot here in San Diego, or an average day in Japan.” he says. The Moonbeam has Rob’s Board Eat Board concave built into its hull – this is Rob’s uncommon approach to enhancing speed without losing responsiveness, and it draws much intrigue on surf shop racks.
“The Moonbeam is meant to go fast and have fun” says Rob. Just like the Moonbeam, this opportunity will go fast. You can bid on Rob’s board up until 6:00 PM PST on Wednesday, May 29th. All proceeds support SurfAid’s life saving Mother and Child Health Programs. Learn more about Rob’s inspiration for the Moonbeam and check out a video of Rob demonstrating just how good this board goes in your average everyday type surf.
